Members of the N4 preferred selection group are set to write to Transport Infrastructure Ireland over their concerns on the Carrick-on-Shannon bypass.
Almost 60 people attended a public meeting last night in The Bush Hotel which discussed what steps should be taken to reverse the current corridor selection.
The newly formed group claim phase three of the project was flawed with vital data missing as well as a lack of consultation with local home owners.
A decision was made to call on the TII and the project consultants ARUP to change the route and carry out phase three again adhering to national guidelines.
