A Roscommon Senator says public representatives will continue to push for the development of a primary care centre in Ballaghaderreen.
It comes as the HSE says it is 'exploring all options' following the withdrawal of the primary developer from the project.
Senator Gareth Scahill has called on Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill to intervene.
In a response to the newly elected Senator, the Minister for Health confirmed that the provider did not begin construction within the required three month time frame.
The Department of Health say they were left with no other choice but to terminate the contract.
