Leitrim County Council say public safety measures are still in place in Leitrim village following a tornado earlier this month.
Scaffolding had been erected in the village to protect pedestrians of footpaths after widespread damage following the weather event on Sunday, 10th December.
The local authority have confirmed the scaffolding will be removed as property owners repair buildings.
The council also said it had offered initial emergency housing support to some homeowners but longer-term support was not required.
Local councillor Paddy Farrell told Shannonside Northern Sound that business was slowly returning to normal and that much of the scaffolding had now been taken down.
