The Minister for the Environment Eamon Ryan has launched a public consultation on a draft of Ireland's Just Transition Plan.
The strategy will set out how Ireland proposes to invest funding from the EU in the Midlands Region.
84.5 million euro has been allocated to Ireland under the transition fund over a period until 2027.
Stakeholders are invited to take part in an online consultation and when it's complete it will be submitted to the European Commission for approval.
Minister Ryan says the Government is committed to supporting workers, companies and communities in the midlands region who are impacted by the closure of power stations.
