People across the region are being urged to come out and support those taking part in the Longford Marathon this weekend.
It's the event's 20th year in operation following a pause during the pandemic.
Hundreds of people are set to take part in the Ultra, full and half marathon starting in the town on Sunday morning.
Road closures will be in place on Main street and the Battery Road in the town, with motorists asked to be mindful of participants on the day.
Member of the organising committee, Fiona Fenlon, is urging the public to come out and support those taking part both at the finish line and along the route.
She says the Longford event is known as the 'friendly marathon':
