The goat, used as part of the Puck Fair in Co. Kerry, will only be displayed for 2-hours as part of the festival.
The fair - which is Ireland's oldest - takes place in Killorglin until Saturday.
Following widespread debate during high temperatures last year, organisers agreed to display King Puck for a couple of hours this year, rather than the full three-days.
Independent TD for Kerry, Michael Healy-Rae, believes the tradition of displaying the goat should continue into the future:
"And hopefully despite the people who would rather see if it was abandoned or dropped and the people who are empty everything -- they're empty Puck, they're empty horseracing, they're empty live exports. If they had their way we'd all be inside the dark room looking out the window with sad eyes and sad faces with nowhere to go and nothing to do, but instead, we can all go to Puck today."
