Close to 650 people have returned to work this week across the Shannonside region.
Local numbers on the Pandemic Unemployment Payment continue to drop as the country moves further along the road map to reopening.
644 people across the Shannonside region have closed off their pandemic unemployment payments in the last week.
The figure is part of a national decrease of over 23,000 claims on last week, with just over 244,000 people left receiving the PUP.
Roscommon has recorded the largest number of those leaving the scheme where 306 people returned to work over the last week, with 2,675 still in receipt of the P.U.P.
In Leitrim, 209 people have come off the payment leaving 1,388 still claiming the weekly support.
The smallest drop in the region is in Longford, where 129 people closed their claim, leaving 1,554 people still on the scheme.
Nationally, the greatest decrease this week is in the Accommodation and Food Service sector.
