The Rathmoyle cemetery group in Roscommon is thanking the community for their help following the discovery of their entrance gates.
Residents reported the silver gates, which had only been put up in the last two years, missing on Sunday, February 15th.
They were found earlier this week after the environmental section of Roscommon County Council carried out an inspection of illegal dumping on forestry ground between Elphin and Carrick-on-Shannon.
Gardai in Castlerea investigating the theft, contacted the group who are delighted that the public took on board their call not to buy them if they were offered for sale.
Councillor Liam Callaghan says they are delighted.
