Members of the public have been having their say after the total cost of Public Realm Enhancement works in Roscommon town were revealed today. According to figures released under the Freedom of Information Act, a controversial new architectural feature in the Square cost €1.4 million to complete. The timber and concrete covered space has received mixed reviews from the public since its unveiling on the new-look Square in the county town. The entire Public Realm Enhancement project is expected to cost over €6 million from Government and local authority funding once finished.
