Personal and Current accounts are being opened at a record rate as Ulster Bank and KBC Banks prepare to exit the Irish market
New figures from the Banking and Payments Federation Ireland reveal 222-thousand personal current accounts have been opened at the main retail banks so far this year.
It has prompted the Federation to launch a nationwide information campaign aimed at providing detailed information on the steps required to switch account.
