The applicants stated the entrance to the new development would be through the adjoining Meadowbrook Estate, which led to a number of submissions from local residents.

They highlighted concerns over traffic levels and pedestrian safety in the Estate along with issues with a lack of services in the village.

Planners refused the application under three areas such the Planning Authority's dissatisfaction over evidence to demonstrate if there is an adequate supply of potable water available for the development.
