Repair works have been completed and water is beginning to be restored to the North Longford area following a burst water main at a local water treatment plant.
A burst on the raw water rising main at the Smear Water Treatment Plant near Aughnacliffe resulted in widespread disruptions across the area.
Supply is currently being restored to customers in areas including Dunbeggan, Aughnacliffe, Rosduff, Moyne and Crott, while those located on higher ground may experience continuing low pressure or water interruptions as the network is refilled.
