A long-awaited report on the N61 in South Roscommon has concluded that the route has exceeded its capacity. The report, which took a year and a half, highlighted 107 actions which could be taken to make the road safer. Plans for a new road on the 14km route were shelved last year by Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
