A garda has reportedly been sprayed in the face with suspected ammonia in Dublin.
According to the Irish Independent, the incident happened last night while Gardaí tried to make two arrests on Basin Street.
The paper reports two uniformed gardaí approached a car in the area and tried to detain two suspects in relation to a burglary.

One of the Garda members was reportedly sprayed in the face with the substance by a woman who fled the scene.
He's been taken to hospital for treatment.
