Plans are in place for the return of one of Leitrim's much loved festivals.
Following a meeting earlier this week, Carrick Carnival have announced the festival will run over the June Bank Holiday weekend.
Although the event has been cut back to four days this year, the committee say the public can expect the usual firework display, street entertainment and children's amusements.
Committee member Sharon Garland, hopes the carnival will showcase the best of Carrick-on-Shannon with an emphasis on community and business.
She says there's now an open call for anyone who would like to take part to get in touch.
