Revenue Officers have seized spirits worth over €2,400 in County Roscommon on Thursday.
The beer and wine with an estimated retail value of over €2,400, represents a potential loss to the Exchequer of over €1,420.
A man and a woman, both in their 30's, were questioned.
Elsewhere on Friday Revenue Officers €10,000 litres of vodka and whiskey have been seized by Revenue Officers at Rosslare Europort, in County Wexford.
The smuggled spirits worth over €300,000 were found on Friday, in a trailer that arrived on a ferry from Cherbourg in France.
Investigations into both seizures are ongoing.
