Close to €150,000 worth of illegal drugs have been discovered in parcels in Athlone.
Revenue Officers screening post at a premises in Athlone identified a number of parcels through risk profiling.
When examined, the parcels were found to contain two kilograms of ketamine, 313 grammes of MDMA tablets, 118 grammes of MDMA powder and 31 grammes of cocaine.

The full value of the seized drugs amounted to €147,500 euro and were contained in parcels originating in the Netherlands and destined for addresses in Dublin.
