Over €108,000 worth of illegal drugs have been seized in Athlone.
Earlier this week, Revenue Officers examining parcels at a mail centre in the town discovered close to 1 and half kilograms of ecstasy tablets and one kilogram of ketamine.
The drugs were discovered in parcels originating from the Netherlands and were destined for addresses in Dublin and Waterford.
Investigations into the seizures are ongoing, with Revenue and Gardaí urging people with any knowledge of drug trafficking or smuggling to contact them in confidence.
Separately in Dublin, detector dog Sam aided Revenue Officers in seizing over €206,000 in illegal drugs and prescription medication.
While two imitation firearms were also seized and handed over to Gardaí for examination.
