The road between Carrick-on-Shannon and Ballinamore is set to be closed for a number of hours this afternoon after a truck left the road earlier today.
Telephone wires are also understood to have been pulled down as a result of the truck slipping off the road this morning.
No injuries have been reported and a recovery vehicle will be on the site of the incident this afternoon to remove the truck from the side of the road.

As a result access for traffic will be restricted from around now until teatime.
