A pedestrian has been killed in a traffic incident in Longford Town this evening.
It's understood the man in his late teens was struck by a bus on the Convent Road in the town at approximately 6.15pm today.
Emergency services are currently at the scene close to the Longford Train and Bus Station.

New Street and the Convent Road remain closed and Gardaí are asking motorists to avoid the area.
