Martin Fallon, a community activist and paramedic, passed away suddenly in the early hours of this morning.

He grew up in Ballinaheglish, in the parish of Oran in Co. Roscommon where his parents Kathleen and Eamonn still live.

His funeral mass will take place on Monday in St. Peter and Paul's Church at 11 o'clock with burial afterwards in Drum cemetery.

He died in a tragic accident in Bealnamulla at around 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon, and a file will be prepared for the coroner's court.

Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
