Roscommon Town and Longford Town have been lowly ranked in a new litter national survey.
In the ranking of the latest Irish Business Against Litter survey, the two county towns were among the worst performers in the country.
Roscommon scored poorly in the results, reaching 34th place out of a total of 40 cities surveyed.
Meanwhile, Longford claimed 35th place, with both counties named, 'moderately littered.'
The ranking is disappointing for the Roscommon and Longford areas, which only last year had improved to 16th and 25th positions respectively.
Athlone is higher up on the list, achieving 26th place this year.
