A Roscommon-based care centre received a positive HIQA report.
The review comes after an unannounced inspection of the centre in October 2023.
Poppy Services is run by the Brothers of Charity Services, Ireland.
The centre can provide care for up to six male and female residents, who are over the age of 18 years and have an intellectual disability.
The centre comprises of three separate houses in Co. Roscommon, which provide residents with their own bedroom, en suite facilities, bathrooms and shared use of communal areas.
Residents who were present during the inspection did not have the verbal capacity to speak with inspectors.
However, residents were seen to have positive interactions with staff, while others liked to engage in arts and crafts activities.
All gardens had outdoor furniture and some were equipped with swings and a trampoline, which one of the residents was seen to be enjoying.
Inspectors also noted that residents had choices around their meals and could take part in household tasks including laundry and grocery shopping.
The centre received some substantial compliances on the grounds of governance and risk management procedures, which the centre is to improve on by enhancing the accessibility to a fire closure device.
Overall, the centre received three substantial compliances from the HIQA report, seven full compliances, and no non-compliances.
