Clann Na nGael collected their first win of the championship with a three point win over Elphin by 11 points to eight.
Elphin had given Clann a real scare leading four points to five at half-time but a big come back secured the victory.
That result means Strokestown cannot progress automatically to the quarter-finals after last nights defeat to St. Brigids.

Elsewhere in group B, Roscommon Gaels secured their first win of the campaign with a 1-15 to 12 points win over St. Croans.
In group C, Boyle scored a 1-10 to 1-9 win over Tulsk. Seamus Kane found the Tulsk net early in the first-half and were leading 1-10 to eight heading in injury time.
A late Tulsk goal made a contest of the final stages but Boyle held out to win by four points.
