There have been over four burst water mains in just one local area in Roscommon over the summer.
The people of the Cloonfad area faced another day without water due to a burst water mains on Sunday on the line from Loweberry Cross to Cloonfad.
Over the past three years, the communities in the Loweberry, Cloonfad and Mountdelvin areas of Roscommon have been subject to numerous water distributions.
Roscommon Councillor Paschal Fitzmaurice has emphasised the significance of the incidents for the locals as it is the only source of water in the area.
While he thanks the water repair workers for their efforts, Councillor Fitzmaurice urgently calls on Irish Water to start the replacement of the outdated water mains:
