A motion to introduce transport vouchers was raised at yesterday's Roscommon County Council meeting.
Independent Councillor Anthony Waldron believes that transport vouchers should be available to cover fuel, vehicle maintenance, and ride-sharing expenses for rural residents.
These vouchers would allow people to get a free lift to town from a taxi hackney up to twice a week.
