A Roscommon councillor has paid tribute to the local authority for continued efforts to find a solution to flooding at Lough Funshinagh.
It comes as An Bord Pleanála granted conditional planning permission for a temporary flood relief scheme last Friday.
Councillor Laurence Fallon, who lives close to the turlough in south Roscommon, said a lot of work had gone in to get to this point.
He says the amount of effort put in by Roscommon County Council staff had been enormous.
