He says he'd be interested if it's delayed until the new year, as Taoiseach Simon Harris is promising.

Fianna Fáil councillor Sean Moylan has expressed an interest in running in the general election in Roscommon-Galway - if it's held next year. The Tulsk man was elected to the council for the first time in June in the Boyle Local Electoral Area. He says he doesn't intend contesting his party's selection convention if the election is going to be held before Christmas. But he says he would be interested if it's delayed until the new year, as Taoiseach Simon Harris is promising.

Moylan, who works for An Post in Boyle, says he was encouraged by getting nearly 1,300 votes in the local elections.
