Roscommon County Council has been accused of failing to properly consult with retailers in Strokestown over major plans for the town.
Strokestown Town Team Secretary, Frank Hanly, says the local authority has refused to listen to concens over the Public Realm Enhancement Scheme.
The Council is seeking Part 8 planning permission for the project which has been met with criticism since it was first mooted over three years ago.
The planned works include alterations to the current streetscape including the provision of pedestrian and cycle routes.
A decision is due on the 3rd of November and submissions can be made until this date.
