Roscommon County Council is clarifying that there is no delay on its part in respect of payments to landowners along the Scramogue to Ballaghaderreen bypass.
Lands along the 34 kilometre route have been the subject of Compulsory Purchase Orders, and while preliminary site works are underway, many farmers have not received indications of settlements for their land.
Director of Services Shane Tiernan says that the local Roads Design Office has been extremely efficient on its part in the process, and that any hold-ups have been over conveyancing matters between various legal parties.
