A part eight planning application has been lodged for the N61 Tulsk to Clashaganny road project.
It was originally identified as a key priority for Roscommon County Council in 2017 with the preferred route put on public display in April 2020.
Planning has been submitted for improvement works along a 4 km stretch just north of Tulsk village to Clashaganny.
The plans include the widening and straightening of the road with 3.3 km of offline construction and over half kilometre of online widening planned for.
Also included is 2 hard shoulders, grass verges, local road improvements, farm accommodation roads, fencing, landscaping and drainage works.
The route will commence close to Tulsk and proceed to Carrownageelaun, Cargin Demense, Carrowkeel, Carrowrinny, Sheegeeragh and Manor.
Plans are now on display during office hours at Aras an Chontae in Roscommon town until Wednesday, 30th of November or on the council website.
Submissions or observations on the proposed development must be submitted by 5pm on Friday 16th December. ]
