Roscommon County Council is urging the Health Service Executive to reconsider the arrangements for upgrade works at the Sacred Heart Hospital.
Essential Fire Remedial Works are due to begin on the 24th of August and the HSE says it regrets this will involve a temporary relocation of residents of St Joseph's and Our Lady's ward
Councillors have asked officals to listen to families and advocates of residents who they say will find a proposed relocation for three months hugely upsetting, especially as the home has had huge success in remaining Covid free for the duration of the pandemic.
