The Cathaoirleach of Roscommon County Council is appealing to people to reduce their social contacts over the coming days.
In Roscommon 17 cases were linked to outbreaks between the 4th of September and the 18th.
The county had six cases confirmed on Thursday - it's rate of transmission was at 62 per 100,000 of population on Friday.
Councillor Laurence Fallon says the number of positive cases is rising and people need to adhere to health guidance and restrict their behaviour to stop its spread in the community.
