Elgin Energy Services Ltd received planning permission for the development at Rathleg near Castlerea in 2017.

Walpole Property Investment Limited applied to Roscommon County Council for the change of use of an existing retail unit to use as a café / restaurant area.

The permission was granted with 5 conditions attached.

The 115 square metre extension would include a new classroom

The closure is in effect between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

Locals have been left with an uncertain future after attempts by Roscommon Council to build an overflow pipe were blocked.

The plans inlcude a new all-weather pitch, as well as gardens and an extension to a community walkway
