A young Roscommon doctor who's moving to Australia in January says part of her reason is down to the lack of respect shown by the HSE to health care workers in this country.
Dr Joanne Cregg began studying medicine in 2016 and has been working in University Hospital Galway for the last couple of years.
She has now begun to specialise in paediatrics but has taken the decision to move to Australia next year to continue her training.
The Roscommon woman says part of the reason for moving is family related, but she also wants to try to have a proper work/life balance.
Speaking on the Let's Talk show this afternoon Joanne said while she did enjoy her work here, and felt she got good experience and training, the health care system doesn't treat doctors very well.
