The Scramogue man said Garda stations in the constituency should never have been closed down.

A General Election candidate in Roscommon-Galway has called for a proper policing plan for the River Shannon. Independent candidate Eugene Murphy says criminal gangs are using the river to move drugs into rural Ireland.
