Gardaí in Roscommon have arrested a woman following an alleged assault in Ballyleague over the weekend.
Gardaí arrested the woman in her 40s on Saturday afternoon in the Strokestown road area of the town.
It's understood the regional air ambulance attended the scene on Saturday, but the extent of any injuries are not yet known.

The woman appeared at a special sitting of Roscommon District Court yesterday morning in relation to the alleged assault.
