Gardai in Roscommon are investigating a number of burglaries in the south of the county at the weekend.
A total of at least four houses were broken into sometime between Saturday night and yesterday morning.
The thieves appear to have forced windows at the back and front of the houses to gain entry.
The incidents occurred in the Brideswell, Kilteevan, Carrowmore, Tullyroe areas.
Roscommon Garda Sergeant Ronan O' Meara says they'd like to hear from anyone in the areas involved who might have noticed any suspicious activity at the weekend:
"Just over the weekend gone, we had a number of burglaries in the Kilteevan and Brideswell area where a number of unoccupied homes were entered and some items of jewellery and items of cash were taken."
"We are just appealing to members of the public if they have seen anything suspicious, maybe someone knocked on your door or a car drove into your driveway, just make sure to report that to gardai, it might assist us in our enquiries."
