Roscommon gardaí are warning the public over the danger of speeding following two incidents this week.
It follows the local Roads Policing Unit carrying out speed checks in Knockcroghery and Boyle.
Gardai stopped the first car after they were found speeding at 128 kilometers per hour in a 100 kilometer zone on the N4 in Boyle.
The driver was fined €160 and received 3 penalty points.
A second motorist was detected travelling at 94 kilometers per hour in the village of Knockcroghery.
They were also stopped by Gardai and the motorist will face court proceedings.
