Roscommon is gearing up for Africa Day 2024 which takes place on the 1st of June.
Last Monday night's official launch heard there would be a number of events taking place next week as part of the festival.
Festivities kick off next Tuesday with an Africa Day exhibition at Boyle Library from 5 pm.
Further exhibitions will take place at Roscommon's County Library on Wednesday and Thursday.
The main celebration, which features dancers, drumming workshops, music and food, takes place in Roscommon Town Square next Saturday.
Speaking at the official launch at Áras an Chontae, organiser Susuana Komolafe thanked Roscommon County Council for its support:
