A Roscommon doctor says that people still need to be very cautious about having visitors in their homes.
According to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, gatherings in private houses have accounted for over 2,000 (2,018) of the outbreaks of Covid 19, with 122 new outbreaks reported in a week,
It shows there were five outbreaks reported in pubs and five in a restaurant or cafe, with just two linked to hotels.
One outbreak has been reported in a childcare facility and the total number of workplace outbreaks is 85.
Castlerea GP Madeline Ni Dhalaigh says there is good reasoning behind the advice being given from NEPHET about gatherings in private homes.
