A Roscommon man who works with migrants in Ireland says he believes it's good that the government are trying to take the burden of homing Ukrainian refuges off families and voluntary organisations.
John Lannon from Rooskey is Chief Executive Officer with Doras, a Limerick based human rights and migrant support organisation.
He was one of a number of people who met with the Taoiseach and other officials today with regard to the response to the Ukraine crisis.
While John says they didn't talk specifically about the idea of funding families, he hopes it's the start of a more cohesive and co-ordinated approach from the government to the influx of refugees.
