Roscommon Injury Unit remains open over Christmas period

Roscommon University Hospital is reminding people that their Injury Unit is open over the Christmas period.
The Injury Unit is open to the public from 8am to 8pm every day of the year including today St. Stephen's Day, and New Year's.

The unit is an alternative to visiting an emergency department, and will prevent long waiting times for patients.
Speaking to Shannonside FM News, Advanced Nurse Practitioner Eoin McGinn, explained the kind of injuries that can be treated at the unit:
