A lucky Roscommon person who won €1 million euro last month after buying a ticket at Casey's Service Station in Roscommon town has come forward to claim the prize.
The winner, who isn't being named, told the Lotto office they were at home having tea when they heard the top prize had been won on the 9 o' clock draw, and checked their ticket straight away when news of where it was bought came through.
The winner said they scanned the ticket on the phone and got the message to say they had "won big".

The lucky Roscommon punter says they're still a bit shocked by the win just over a month on, and it might take a while yet for it really to sink in.
