Tributes are being paid to a Roscommon man who died following a road crash in New Zealand over the weekend.
Declan Curley, from Clonark near Athlone, was killed after being struck by a car in the suburb of Te Aro, Wellington, at around 3.30am on Saturday morning.
Police have confirmed that the driver of the car is assisting with their enquiries into the crash which killed a pedestrian and they are also continuing to appeal for witnesses.
Declan, who was well known in the Athlone area, is survived by his parents and his partner.
No funeral details have been confirmed as of yet.
