A Roscommon mother has paid tribute to her twins sons diagnosed with a progressive muscular disease.
12-year-old twins George and Isaac Naughton live with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a progressive muscle-wasting disease for which there is no treatment and no cure.
Their 16 year old brother Archie passed away last month from the condition.
Their mother, Paula Naughton set up the join Our Boys charity to help the family live as normal a life as possible.
A major fundraising drive is currently underway to help fund research into a cure for the condition, with British man Ben Banaghen set to run the length of Britain to help raise money for the Roscommon Charity.
Speaking to the Joe Finnegan Show today, Paula paid tribute to the strength and kindness of her twin boys:
They are as magnificent and magical as their brother. They are extraordinary. They have been doing an art camp with Roscommon youth project this week.
Painting murals on a local school's wall. because they said it would bring joy to other children and they love doing that.
They are absolutely heartbroken but they are still getting up every morning and they still have hope in their heart.
The are spreading magic where ever they go.
