A motorist has been arrested in Roscommon after they tested positive for drug driving.
Local Gardaí approached the driver of the vehicle who was parked in a disabled space but had no blue badge displayed.
On interacting with the motorist, Gardaí requested they undertake a roadside drugs test.
The driver then tested positive for both cocaine and benzosdiazepines, a sedative.
They were arrested and will appear in court in the near future.
Separately in the county, Gardaí are warning haulers of the dangers of traveling at speed during dangerous driving conditions.
The Roscommon Roads Policing Unit detected a lorry with a heavy load of machinery travelling at 72kph through Tulsk during wet road conditions.
They were stopped and a fine was issued to the driver.
