A Roscommon Nursing home has received high praise from HIQA inspectors following a surprise inspection earlier this year.
Drumderrig House in Abbeytown, Boyle cares for 96 residents and was the subject of an inspection in September.
Inspectors found that residents were supported to live a good quality of life and were cared for by a staff team who knew them well.
The centre was found to be exceptionally clean throughout and residents praised the quality of the food.
The centre received 9 compliances and two substantial compliances during the report.
Drumderrig House Nursing Home Limited submitted an action plan to HIQA in order to address the substantial compliances.
