A Roscommon parish is issuing a public appeal to find a sacristan to take care of a local church.
No-one has yet applied for the role of sacristan at the Church of the Immaculate Conception despite the role of the caretaker of the church being vacant since last august.
Last month the parish decided to draw up an ad which sought a reliable person who could work flexible hours but has not generate any responses so far.
