A Roscommon photographer has been shortlisted for a prestigious photography award.
David Patton from Castlerea has been nominated for the next stage of the 'Reach for the Stars' astrophotography competition.
His image titled "Not a breath" portrays the night sky reflected in the waters of Lough Gal near Tulsk.

A public vote is now open on the reach for the stars website with the winner being announced in July
